Bowstring Truss
 


     The Bowstring Truss is distinct with the top chord arched relative to the bottom chord and the two chords meeting at the ends of the span. A Modified Bow is similar. The top chord is arched relative to the bottom, but the chords are separated by verticals at the ends of the span. Both styles can incorporate Pratt or Warren web configurations. They are used for a variety of span lengths for their distinct architecture.
